July 8th: Mitigating Climate Change, How Truckee Locals Are Helping

Tahoe Silicon Mountain, a local network of entrepreneurs and professionals, is pleased to welcome Deirdre Henderson and Matt Tucker who will present on how Truckee locals are working to mitigate climate change.

Henderson and Tucker will discuss the different actions being taken both nationally and in the local community to help address climate change, and let the attendees know how they can help.

Henderson is the founder of the North Tahoe chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and is co-chair of 100% Renewable Truckee, the citizens’ group that initiated the Town of Truckee’s 100% renewable resolution. She sits on the Climate Action Subcommittee of the Truckee’s General Plan Advisory Committee. Tucker is the Citizens’ Climate Lobby liaison to California District 4's member of congress Tom McClintock and is the co-lead of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s Outdoor Industry Action Team.

Please join us at Mountain Minds Monday on Monday July 8th from 6-8pm at Pizza on the Hill, in Tahoe Donner located at 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee. Pizza and salad are available and we use a pay-what-you-can model ($5 minimum). Before and after the presentation, there will be time for networking.
