We were excited to return to our regular in-person speaker events this month following our summer of networking, as well as the recent successful Pitch Camp and Showcase; however, we feel it's best not to be gathered in a small space with flu and COVID on the rise right before the holidays.

Tahoe Pitch Showcase is Back

November 14th at 6 pm

Six entrepreneurs who participated in Tahoe Pitch Camp this Fall were selected to present their innovative companies and ideas at the Tahoe Pitch Showcase during 5-minute pitches. Entrepreneurs selected to present their pitches are as follows:

Each entrepreneur will take questions from our expert panel of judges: Megan Bristol, Jamie Orr, and Mark Zimring. The event will conclude with voting and a winner in each category will be chosen by the judges....and there is a People's Choice, selected by YOU.

2022 Pitch Camp Applications are Open

Tahoe Silicon Mountain and Sierra Business Council are announcing the return of Pitch Camp and Pitch Showcase. 

Tahoe Pitch Camp is designed for entrepreneurs to hone their skills, learn about successful pitch techniques, and craft a winning pitch.

Taught by SBC’s Kristin York and other seasoned mentors in collaboration with Tahoe Silicon Mountain, participants will hone their presentation skills and information into a five minute presentation, referred to as a pitch, identifying their value proposition and their organization’s capital needs.

Pitch Camp meets October 19th, October 26th, and November 2nd from 5-7pm at SBC’s Office: 10183 Truckee Airport Rd.

On November 14th at 6pm in Truckee Town Council Chambers, 6 finalists from Pitch Camp will present their pitch deck for the chance to win prizes and receive feedback from an expert panel of judges, as well as the audience of community members.

Entrepreneurs at any stage, startups, founders, and established businesses are all welcome to apply for Tahoe Pitch Camp. In addition to the classes, entrepreneurs are encouraged to take advantage of free one-on-one consulting with SBC’s Sierra Small Business Development Center staff.

 Cancelled as of 3pm on Monday September 12 due to poor air quality.

It’s the “Networking Summer.” After two over years of virtual meetings, Tahoe Silicon Mountain will get back face-to-face for a series of networking events over the summer.

Come join us for an in-person networking event hosted by Tahoe Silicon Mountain at Pizza on the Hill at 5:30 pm on Monday, September 12.

We will meet on lawn by playground.

Jessica Carr of Sierra Business Council will join us to discuss Pitch Camp and Pitch Showcase which are returning this fall for our 4th Annual*.

No outside food or drinks, please. Attendees can hold individual tabs.

Come and get re-acquainted with old and new faces and see what’s happening with Mountain Minds Monday.

The first will be on Monday June 13, 5:30 PM at the Truckee Regional Park Picnic area. Tahoe Silicon Mountain will host a potluck networking event. Come and get re-acquainted with old and new faces and see what’s happening with Mountain Minds Monday. Please bring at least a $5.00 donation to help TSM with expenses, or better yet become a sponsor for the remainder of the year.
