True Stories of Unknown Unheralded Women Tech Stars

(Truckee, Calif.) - Tahoe Silicon Mountain, a local network of entrepreneurs and professionals, is pleased to welcome attorney Dick Schulze of Holland and Hart to present at Mountain Minds Monday: “Ahead of Her Time: True Stories About Women Tech Stars.”

Schulze will discuss how women who were inventors with patents were many times unrecognized and unrewarded. Schulze will also discuss some of the frustrations and triumphs of other inventors, and will give the listener some ideas about what to do with their own invention.

Schulze is an intellectual property attorney with Holland & Hart LLP specializing in high-tech electronics and other inventions, and copyright and trademark law.

Dec 10th: AI and Holographs: Technology and the Healing Process


We are pleased to welcome Dr. Kim Bateman of Sierra College to present at Mountain Minds Monday: “Dialogues with the Digital Dead: Technology and Bereavement”

Dr. Bateman will lead the audience in an interactive discussion about the potential uses of modern technology, artificial intelligence, and holograms for grief work.

Dr. Bateman serves as the Executive Dean of the Tahoe-Truckee Campus of Sierra College, and is a clinical psychologist. Her research interests include organizational psychology, bereavement, and humor and she has delivered many notable keynote addresses.

Neil Lareau, Assistant Professor of physics at the University of Nevada, Reno, will explain the inner workings of destructive and extreme fire behaviors like fire tornadoes, 130+ mph winds, and pyrocumulus clouds that can reach 40,000 feet into the atmosphere.
